Delta Lloyd Group opts for sustainable paper

One way in which the Delta Lloyd Group is implementing its corporate social responsibility is through initiatives aimed at improving energy management efficiency. This is why FSC-certified paper is used from 1 February 2008.

Besides a responsible paper procurement policy, a second aim of Delta Lloyd Group is to save paper. 75 gram copier and printer paper is to be used from 1 February 2008. Choosing 75 gram rather than 80 gram paper will produce a saving for Delta Lloyd Group equal to 3,000,000 sheets of A4 80 gram paper.

Delta Lloyd Group will examine this year what other paper used within its organisation can be replaced by FSC-certified paper. In addition, talks are under way with FSC Netherlands about the possibility of concluding an FSC covenant, i.e. a voluntary agreement in which the Delta Lloyd Group would record its policy on FSC paper (and wood) and enter into commitments.
